Jewish Turner Syndrome Support Group

We each have a different story - when we were diagnosed, what our specific Karyotypes are, how we deal with the syndrome, how those around us (if they even know) deal with it, and how it has affected us.

I'm hoping we'll build a sense of community, understanding, a place to laugh about the same things, talk about problems we face, and help each other. Being able to talk openly with others in the same situation can help us brainstorm for realistic, pragmatic solutions and is often exactly the support we need.

General Turner Syndrome Resources

Hi, please list any links or other resources you have found helpful while dealing with the many challenges we face with TS. Thanks!

Parental Support Network

As a parent of a toddler with TS, I believe we need a parent support group for TS parents in the Jewish / orthodox community. Although such issues are generally not spoken about in public, I feel that parents with the same concerns should be able to meet in an anonymous forum. I think it can provide mutually needed information and emotional support.

I'm hoping we'll create a strong support base of understanding to work out the problems we face as parents of TS girls and help each other out. Being able to talk openly with other parents in the same situation can help find solutions and is exactly the support we need.

I look forward to "meeting" all the other brave TS Jewish parents out there!

Medical Resources

I know TS affects each girl differently, however, most will need to meet a handful of different specialists throughout the years. Finding specialists that specialize in TS or at least understand the syndrome is important may be hard to accomplish.
I hope we can band together here and guide each other based on our experiences and research.

Sibling Support Group

My kids are still little, so they don't understand yet why their sister is different. They watch her getting daily GH injections, saw her go through cardiac surgery, go to numerous doctors visits, therapists, ear infections galore with bilateral tubes inserted numerous times in her ears, and the list goes on... But I can just imagine the emotional feeling that may run high when her siblings grow up.

Meet other siblings of girls with TS, discuss the challenges that face you and get the support you need here!

Discussion Topics

Hi All! I know TS affects each girl and her surrounding differently - please specify topics you would like to see addressed in both medical & social areas in the comments section & I will open these discussions. Thanks!
